Still Living in Texas

It has been years since I have blogged! Time flies when you are working on never-ending projects. We finally finished the studio a few months ago. It is beautiful. Kayla and I painted and made jewelry. I make stuff and fix stuff and I even use one corner for an office for my private contracting business.

Last year Bill and I lived in a swanky high rise in Houston called the Rice Hotel. We were in downtown on the corner of Texas and Main Street. It was so much fun. I miss the shopping, big grocery stores and tons of money we made working there. I don't miss the bums! When our contracts ended we decided to head to Nacogdoches for some R&R and to get the house finished so we could rent or sell it. Still working on that project.

I am raising chickens for eggs and thinking about getting a goat. I built an adorable chicken coop for $40 out of reclaimed stuff. My garden has three levels and I am building raised beds out of cedar to grow veggies in. Life is good.
